Schneider Electric is a global manufacturer in solar energy power products. To keep its market positioning as a leader, the company manufactured the new ConextTM CL125 inverter, which offers a complete photovoltaic (PV) power plant solution for utility-scale projects systems.

As part of the marketing campaign for the new product launch, Schneider Electric created an explainer video.

The main goal was to boost engagement and appeal at industry specific trade shows, on the website, and on the company’s YouTube channel.

Challenge

Our team developed a script, supporting storyboard, and 2D animations to illustrate the unique key benefits of the ConextTM CL125 in a video. The product is complex in nature and yet very unique.

The content of the script needed to be simple to explain that the string inverter is being used for both centralized and decentralized power plant designs. The new inverter also offers a complete photovoltaic (PV) power plant solution for utility-scale projects systems.

All of these terms can be difficult concepts to understand for a non-technical audience.

Solution

Using 3D product photos, as well as 2D and 3D graphics to support the video script, the video focuses on the key features of the product as well as the uniqueness of its purpose and product design. The online video showcases that the ConextTM CL125 is the best choice for PV power plants using string inverters.

The video is the main asset for Schneider Electric’s online and digital marketing strategy. The video was such a success that Pace Creative worked on the next product launch video, for the ConextTM XW Pro.
